Garnier later described it himself as Looping the loop from deep to deep, and he published the full tracklist on his own channel, title by title. Laurent Garnier, born in 1966 in Boulogne-sur-Seine, began DJing in 1987 at the Haçienda in Manchester under the name DJ Pedro, in the middle of the acid house breakthrough in England. Back in France he started the Wake Up parties at the Rex Club in Paris, bringing Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig and Carl Cox to France, often for the first time; Pedro Winter, who would found Ed Banger ten years later, and Thomas Bangalter moved in the orbit of those nights. In 1994 he founded the label F Communications with Eric Morand, home to his albums Shot in the Dark, 30 and Unreasonable Behaviour, with tracks such as Crispy Bacon and The Man with the Red Face.

The mix holds Eduardo De La Calle, Mike Dehnert, Bambounou in Garnier's own remix, Danny Daze, Lusine and Juju & Jordash, plus two of his own works under the name Garnier, M.I.L.F and H.E. In the weeks around this date, the Essential Mix aired as always on Saturday after midnight.
