Clean, cool and fun place. However due to the style/design the studio is dark. 9 machines adjacent to each other leaves not enough space between the participants. The circles with legs were not possible due to my neigbours with different pacing blocking all available space. Maybe different trainers have different exercises, the course I took was a bit too much legs and did make below average use of the machine. I might go again, or not.
I would unfortunately not recommend getting a membership at tone. I experienced repeated issues with class credits in the app. On several occasions, the credits shown did not match the bookings I had made, and I was told that I had already used credits that, according to the app, should still have been available. If I weren’t someone who checks the credit balance carefully, I likely would not have noticed that a credit was missing. This happened more than once, which was quite frustrating. Communication was also slow. My first email took around 10 days to receive a reply, and only after I followed up several times. Many of the studios do not have a shower or offer towels, which many studios in the price category usually do. Going to a gym or studio should help you relax, not regularly create extra administrative work. Unfortunately, I found myself having to repeatedly check my credits and send emails to clarify issues, which really took away from the experience. This did not happen at other studio I have visited. The trainers are mixed some are great and very motivating, while others are just okay. Many of the great trainers have left. The high turnover of the trainers really says a lot. Some classes are sometimes cancelled (maybe due to this), which made it hard for you to have a regular training. The studio also promotes “community” events like brunch for members. However, when I attended, everyone had to pay for their own food and coffee, and there was someone taking photos of members for social media. It felt more like a marketing opportunity than a genuine community event. Overall, the experience was disappointing enough that I seriously have asked to cancel my yearly membership after only two months. To address your question about the brunch: * I attended the brunch with one other member after a class in Stockerstrasse, as we were both quite hungry. * Banana bread and cookies were provided; however, each item was cut into 6–8 very small pieces. This meant that if I wanted to eat the equivalent of one full slice, I would have had to return multiple times or take several small pieces at once in front of others and the receptionist, which felt uncomfortable. * Coffee was not included and was only available for purchase. * The matcha that was offered was served in a half-filled espresso cup (approximately 15–20 ml). To have a regular-sized serving, I would have needed to go back several times. * Overall, my impression was that the event felt more like a marketing initiative than a genuine community brunch. This impression was reinforced by a staff member taking photos of attendees during the event. If a more substantial brunch had been provided, I would have been more comfortable with photos being taken for marketing purposes. As it was, the experience felt somewhat misleading. I did address the extra effort of emailing per e-mail. Not great to know that the attempt for a call happened only after I posted the review.
I’ve been a Tone member for the last two years now, and absolutely love the variety in locations and instructors. The instructors at tone are one of the main reasons why I continue to go 🤗
I recently attended a Pilates class with the lovely Coach Livia, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment the session began, her positive energy and encouraging attitude created such a welcoming atmosphere. Livia explains every movement clearly and pays close attention to form, which made me feel both supported and motivated throughout the entire workout. The class itself was a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. I left feeling stronger, energized, and genuinely inspired to come back. Livia has a wonderful way of pushing you to do your best while still making the session fun and accessible for all levels. If you’re looking for a motivating, professional, and uplifting Reformer Pilates experience, I can highly recommend taking a class with Livia. She’s truly exceptional at what she does! 💛💛💛
